About

Union Catholic is a regional, coeducational Catholic high school located in the suburban setting of Scotch Plains, NJ. We serve a diverse population of 800 students representing 11 counties, 80 towns, and drawing from over 148 sending schools. We also welcome international students through a competitive and supportive International Student Program. Students are accepted on the basis of the Archdiocesan Cooperative Exam, placement exams, school records and interviews. In a community with a population that exceeds 22,000, Scotch Plains is family-oriented, featuring many parks for recreation, golf courses, various athletic fields, and swimming facilities, all within two miles of the school. There is also a nearby train station which offers service to New York City.

Our faith-based, technology-infused learning environment has received national attention and makes us one of the premier Catholic high schools in New Jersey. Union Catholic prepares students for life in the real, spiritual, and virtual worlds.

If you’re someone who studies with purpose, who lives live with enthusiasm and integrity, and who wants to make a difference in the world even as you achieve your dreams, let Union Catholic bring out the best in you!
